Our Classes

  • Kinder Ballet

    This 30 minute class encourages imagination, musicality, and fun. It is designed to engage and develop a child’s love for dance. They will learn Classical Ballet foundation skills. Students will have the opportunity to perform in our Annual Showcase and End of Year Display.

  • Kinder Dance

    These are one hour classes for preschool age children. The class encourages imagination, musicality and fun. It is designed to engage and develop a child’s love for dance. Structured classes develop expression, musicality and a dance foundation for easy transition into junior classes. Students will learn Classical Ballet, Jazz and Tap styles. Students will have the opportunity to perform in our Annual Showcase and End of Year Display.

  • Ready Set Dance

    A one hour combo class of Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, singing and music. Designed for both boys and girls, the program focuses on teaching the fundamentals of dance while developing confidence, coordination and creativity in a professional and safe environment. RSD is a unique preschool training program that is recognised Australia wide, it has been developed by early childhood development specialists and is a fun interactive program. Students will have the opportunity to perform in our Annual Showcase and End of Year Display.

  • Kinder Acro

    Kinder Acro

    These are 30 minute classes for preschool age children. A fun and safe way for children to practise fine and gross motor skills. The focus of this program includes learning the acro positions, locomotive skills (jumping, hopping etc.), balance skills, classroom behaviour skills, movement concepts, cooperation and social skills. Other skills they learn in the program are cartwheels, forward rolls and handstands. Each child progresses at a speed suited to them.

Calculation of Fees and Inclusions

All fees listed are prices per class. Class fees include tuition and costume hire for the Annual Mid-Year Showcase and the End of Year Display. Depending on when your child commences or finishes dancing at LPD, a pro-rata charge for costume hire may apply.

Our teaching program is broken into four terms to align with the school year; the term dates are outlined below. On receipt of the Jotform Online Enrolment, an invoice is generated to reflect the term your child commences classes through to the end of the year’s program. Payments will be directly debited from your nominated account, either fortnightly, monthly or quarterly.

  • Simply fill out our enquiries/registration form through the button above and someone will be in touch with you shortly.

  • You may trial a class at any time in our Leongatha and Inverloch Studios. Please contact us for class times so that we may expect you on the day. The class fee can be settled at the Studio in cash or card. Students must complete our registration form before trialling a class.

  • In our experience preschoolers are able to concentrate better without the distraction of other noise in the room from parents and siblings. As preschoolers participate in classes they have the opportunity to develop additional secure attachments with adults (teachers) and peers. This helps them transition positively into the larger world and helps with readiness for school. Having said that, a lot of children are timid at first and need to know that a parent is close by. Our program allows parents to watch the first class if necessary to help your child adjust.

  • These performances are not compulsory for our tiny dancers but you must let us know if your child wishes to participate so we can accommodate accordingly.

  • There are no refunds on term fees regardless of the reason for the absence, including sickness and public holidays. Make up classes are available, please email for appropriate class times. Once a term has commenced there is no refund for any mid-term withdrawals; you are obliged to complete the term. We must be notified in writing before the new term commences so that the appropriate changes to your account can be made. Simply no longer attending classes is not considered a cancellation, we must be notified in writing of your intention to withdraw.

  • Small adjustments may need to be made to your child’s costumes when they are sent home. We ask that parents assist us by making their child’s costume user friendly and stage ready. All costume hire costs are built into your fees. Students should have already purchased tights and shoes for their classes.

  • Our preschool classes are paid on a direct debit basis over the 37 weeks of the dancing year.

  • You may swap days if you miss a class (as long as the make up class is not full). We do recommend that you avoid alternating days too much as pre-schoolers need the comfort of knowing that the same teacher and their friends will be there when they go to dancing. Please notify us if you require attending an alternate day.
